How these are written. Stories are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a human before publication. Every story summarizes reporting from the sources listed on it and links to each one.

Stories are credited to the LexCircuit Desk or the LexRegister Desk. Podcast episodes and blog posts carry the names of the people who make them.

Every story summarizes across every source in its cluster, not from any one article. Summaries are 40 to 80 words by rule.

The Blog and the Podcast

The Blog carries signed opinion. Each post is written by a named contributor in a personal capacity, on behalf of Jake Team LLC and not of any employer or client, and says so beneath the text. Posts may be AI-assisted or AI-drafted; every post is read and owned by the person whose byline it carries before it is published. Podcast show notes are factual descriptions of each episode. Episodes are read by synthetic voices. Alex Carter and Jordan Ellis are not people and hold no views. Every episode is written from the sourced stories it links and reviewed by the human host named on it before publication. There is a second show on LexRegister, LexRegister Conversations: one headline or topic discussed in full, twice a week. Read by two synthetic voices, Ben Adler and Marcus Webb. They are not people and hold no views. Every episode discusses a piece already published and reviewed on LexRegister. Neither a post nor an episode is a story: they never appear among the stories, in the news feed or in the news RSS.

Profiles

A profile, on LexRegister, is a sourced piece about one lawyer, judge or founder on the occasion of something public and verifiable: an award, a verdict or judgment, an appointment, a milestone. It is held to the story standard, not the Blog's: strictly factual, every claim traceable to a listed source, no praise the sources do not carry, no ranking, and credited to the LexRegister Desk, never to a person. Public record only: awards from the awarding body's own announcement, results from the court's docket, opinion or judgment, career facts from the firm's own biography, the bar's directory or a filing; never from social media and never from a tip alone. No photograph appears without the subject's written permission and a recorded source.

The subject of a profile is told when it is published and has a right of reply: corrections to info@jaketeam.com. A profile of a lawyer at GRSM, or of counsel opposing one, carries this standing note:

The publisher, Jake Team LLC, is independent of any law firm; its principal is employed by GRSM. Profiles are chosen on public occasion, never at a firm's request.

The note does not settle a live matter: a profile touching an active GRSM matter is cleared case by case before it is approved. Profiles are never sponsored and are never attorney advertising; no one can pay for one, and no subject writes their own.

Sources

Every piece lists all of its sources with working links. A story cannot publish without them.

Corrections and retractions

A corrected story keeps its URL and shows a dated notice saying what changed. A retracted story stays at its URL and is withdrawn from the feed. Both appear in the corrections log.
